*Asiya's* Perfect Eid by Tasmea Mahmud

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚 Title: *Asiya's* Perfect Eid Author: Tasmea Mahmud Illustrator: Tasmea Mahmud Publisher: Self-Published Type: Fiction Age: 0-8 Rating: 10 /10 🌟 ⭐ Islamic Content: Celebrating Eid al-Fitr ⭐ Concerns: None ⭐ Review: Because of the unique premise of this book, I decided to do the review first then I will follow up with the storyline. This is wonderful personalised keepsake book for children is printed to order. You will go through the process of filling in information that pertains to the story: name & gender of your child, the preferred avatars for protagonist & other characters (hair colour and skin tone), add a personalised message, softcover vs. hardcover, etc. ⭐ *Note* - the title of this book will have the personalised child's name (swipe to see book cover for boys and other names) ⭐ The book is written in beautiful rhyme that has consistent flow. The language is so beautifully constructed throughout. The soft illustrations bring so much warmth to the story that I absolutely love. Added details on every page are amazing. In this book, the author has done an amazing job to be inclusive in many aspects: choosing the right characters that match your family, includes a page of special clothing articles (for girls and boys) from various Muslim countries as well as different traditional dishes and sweets. This keepsake book would make such a wonderful gift, not only for your own child, but for your nieces, nephews and those special people in your life. This book is based on a typical Muslim family, however, they are currently working on developing an option for single parents as well, which is brilliant. There is a glossary at the back of the book with terms and definitions. Next to it, a section explaining Eid clothing for women from around the world and another section with Eid sweets from around the world. ⭐ Storyline: *Asiya* is excited that the new moon is spotted which means Eid is tomorrow. She prepares in the morning to attend the masjid with her parents. After the Eid prayer, she meets her friend at the Eid Fair and together they get henna on their hands. As an Eid tradition, Asiya and her family attend an Eid feast at her grandparent's house where they spend time with aunts, uncles and cousins. There, they exchange gifts, eat a variety of different delicious foods. They finish the day with prayer and thanking Allah for all the love they experience throughout this blessed day. ⭐ I absolutely recommend this book. ⭐ Available: @wishuponmystory #wishuponmystory #tasmeamahmud #perfecteidbook #muslimkidsbooks #islamickidsbooks #muslimauthor #muslimkidslit #raisingmuslimreaders
