Review:
This is the 3rd book in the Maymunah's Musings series. Does Allah Know I'm Sad? undertakes the heavy topic of loss/grief and focuses on how to navigate the feelings of sadness in an Islamic way.
The reader will see that being emotional is a natural part of the process; taking time and space for those emotions, sharing them with your close ones, and recognizing that Allah knows our emotional state and He hears our duas.
I love the fact that there are now a few books that are surfacing that deal with this topic. This particular story is directly connected to Islam Thus makes this book a very beneficial read for little Muslims. For me, parts of the text could have been condensed a little. Also the font size was on the small side. Definitely a beneficial read for our kids in Islamic school classrooms as well as at home.
