Review:
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I was waiting for this book. To my delight, the book is Muslim sci-fi, set in the future on a barren world where people are held slaves to the evil empire.
Muslim lit has really been lacking in the graphic novel scene. Having a 3rd grader who is solely into graphic novels, I don't have much to offer him with Muslim content. So this book came at the right time.
This is only volume one so there are so many questions to be answered which will leave the reader curious about what will happen next. The illustrations are incredible and they truly speak louder than the words. With every page spread, you have to study the details and piece what is happening in the story.
I think boys who are looking for exciting reads full of action will enjoy this book. My 9yo son and his cousin, both really liked it and they immediately asked me when will the 2nd volume be released.
