Summary/Review:

It was a complete surprise to get this book in the mail from @kubepublishing, so I had no particular expectations. When I held it in my hands and flipped through the pages, the physical quality, the attention to details that brought this book together just blew me away.

The book is a non-fiction historical take and is divided into sections. It begins with where the idea of the letters came from, where they were sent and the Prophet Muhammed's (saws) official seal. The letters were sent to: Emperor Heraclius, Al-Muqawqis, King Chosroes and Al-Najashi. Each section tells us what each letter said and how each king and empire responded. Ends with lessons we can learn from each incident.

Letters from a Prophet is a refreshing non-fiction read for youth. I love that the topic is unique and even as an adult, I have learned plenty from it. I love that before the book even begins, it offers so much background historical information for the reader to really understand the role that these letters have played in Islamic history. I can see this book as great resource and discussion with the one-on-one readers as well as in classroom settings. A must have book in Muslim shelves.
