Review:
There are plenty of Muslim books about the tender love of Muslim mothers. Books about Muslim Dads are, well, something I can't quite think of off the top of my head. So this book fills a gap in the Muslim LIT space. Abdullah is an adorable character who is relatable to kids the same age where they start paying attention to details around them. The story is adorable, and it successfully brings the message across to the readers. Although Dads are more often away for work, they are in fact solid contributors to their family's daily life. This story does a great job at helping kids get a glimpse of that. I did find the story to be a little text heavy. None the less, my kids loved the story and asked to have it read to them multiple times already. This story would be a great inspiration for kids to write their own Jazak Allahu khayran cards for those who are looking for summer craft ideas.
