Summary/Review:
I love surprises like this one. This book quietly exists in the east. It isn't hyped in the west. Yet, it adds value and feeds the curiosity of the little ones in different ways. This picture book introduces little readers/listeners to different masjid around the world and their unique colours through diverse characters. Little ones will be introduced to a few different places around the world and the idea that masajid are different and unique in visual design will spark the interest and discussion with your child. The illustrations are just stunning and will keep your child engaged. The text is kept simple and to the point. Sometimes it offers an additional fact about the masjid in content. Even as an adult, the most fascinating masjid I was introduced to was 99 Dome Mosque in Indonesia. I just had to google it for more information. I love that this book begins with sahih hadith about our hearts being attached to the masjid. Among others, it includes Masjid al Qibli and the Kabbah. The book was originally published in Turkish, then was published in English. It is such a beneficial book for our little ones. This book would make such a fun and read-a-loud in the library or the classroom.
