Summary & Review:

These 4 books are the latest batch of this 12-book series. Yasmin is such a lovable character in each one of her stories.

1. The Writer - where Yasmin's teacher assigns the class to write an essay about their favourite hero. It takes her time to figure out who to write about.

2. The Friend - Yasmin's friends come over, and they can't agree on what they would like to play. Yasmin comes up with a resolution that makes everyone happy.

3. The Gardener - Yasmin's new plant is wilting, and she is trying to figure out why.

4. The Soccer Star - Soccer is something new for Yasmin and she is not willing to give it a try.

Books that showcase strong, fun and lovable Muslim characters in mainstream books are important for our children to read. Every day dilemmas captured in stories with Muslim families that reflect our children's are a great way for them to connect and relate, boost confidence in themselves and their Muslim identity. Our kids need these relatable stories just as much as they need books that teach direct Islamic text, values, morals. Each book in this series includes fun facts about Pakistan, a different DIY project related to the story, and glossary terms. These are a likely find in your local public library or your child's school library.
